10-Year Life Plan Sheet for Beginners

This template for beginners helps first-timers build a 10-year life plan: log life events and yearly income, expenses, and savings on one sheet, then set a savings goal and monthly amount. The whiteboard has five parts: a 10-year table with a worked example, three frames for life events (family, work, housing), a 5-step how-to, three frames on big expenses, and a frame for your savings goal and first step. The task board has four columns - not filled in, drafting, filled in, reviewed - with four parent tasks and three subtasks each, from preparing the table to setting a savings goal. If you are unsure how to fill in the table, how many years to plan, or what numbers to use, simply overwrite the worked example with your own figures. Write every amount in dollars, use a household budget for month-to-month tracking, and use this 10-year sheet for the multi-year outlook.
