Group Cosplay Shoot Planning for Beginners: Costumes and Props by Character, Prep to Shoot Day

This beginner template helps 2 to 6 friends trying their first group cosplay — matching costumes as the same characters — break down costumes and props by character and plan through to the shoot. Page 1 sets strengths, the series, shoot style, and budget; page 2 assigns characters and lists costumes, props, wigs, shoes; page 3 sorts parts into make, buy-and-alter, or store-bought and sets the cap; page 4 decides shots, the schedule, and sharing rules. The task board has four columns — To Do, Making, Trial Fit, Done — with 4 parent tasks matching the pages, each holding 3 subtasks. If planning a group cosplay feels unfamiliar, swap each sticky note's e.g. for your own series and you can go from splitting up costume work to the shoot. Co-edit with your group under limited sharing, then post your after-shoot announcement with a public URL. For character rights, venue rules, and shared photos, set where to check on the board, then have each person confirm the rules or get consent.
