Family Meeting for Beginners: A Board to Pick the Weekend Plan by Voting with Round Stamps

A family meeting template for beginners, for families of three to five with school-age kids who pick next weekend's plan by voting with round stamps (dot stickers). Four pages: page 1 sets what to decide, the budget, the time you have, three conditions, family promises and a sticker color for each person; page 2 is a six-row table of places to go, food and things to do at home, with cost and time, where everyone places three stamps; page 3 counts votes, covers kids' joys and adults' worries, and sorts ideas into decided, next time and passed; page 4 spells out the plan with 5W1H and a prep table. The task board has four columns - before the meeting, talk at the meeting, prep by the weekend, and done - with four parent tasks of three subtasks each. Tip: show the board on a TV or tablet, place votes for kids who cannot write yet after listening to them, and hear every idea before deciding. Families can write together as members of a limited-access team.
