Disaster Preparedness Workshop for Beginners: District Group Board for a Drill Plan

Neighborhood disaster officers holding a first preparedness workshop use this beginner template to split residents into district groups and record risks in one shared format. Four boards: the first sets the aims, the flow of the day and, for Districts A to D, the leader, headcount, meeting point and contact method; the second collects each group's risky spots and problems, with differences by day, night and rain; the third sorts the preparations by importance and urgency; the fourth turns them into drills with a lead group, a date and a run-up. The task board has five columns - Preparing, Writing at meeting, Choosing, Drill prep and Done - and four parent tasks with three subtasks each. For evacuation decisions and city programs, check your local hazard map and official disaster guidance. Residents who cannot attend can be interviewed by the disaster officer or group leaders, who write their words on sticky notes. You can write together with members of a limited-visibility team.
