Hosting Your First Team Dinner: Venue, the Night Itself, and the Follow-Up

The Team Dinner Host template takes a first-time host of a work dinner or farewell party from choosing a restaurant to running the night, splitting the bill, and sending thanks the next morning. The whiteboard holds a 5W1H frame for the shape of the evening, a comparison grid that rates venues on location, cost per head, private space, and dietary needs, a three-part guide to the arrival, the meal, and the close, and a countdown that works backward from booking to thank-yous. The task board runs across five columns, from shortlist to records, and starts with 5 parent tasks and 13 subtasks, all not started, covering the goal, the venue, the booking, the night itself, and the expenses. Every prep item sits on a dated card so nothing slips on the night, and the venue notes, the tipping and bill-splitting calls, and the retro stay behind for whoever hosts next.
