AI Champion First 90 Days Board for Beginners: Your 30-60-90 Day Plan and Q&A Rules

This beginner-friendly template helps anyone newly named the AI champion or AI lead at their company decide what to do, and in what order, across their first 90 days. The whiteboard holds a 3x3 monthly plan for day 30, 60, and 90 across goal, action, and result, a six-step timeline from kickoff to becoming routine, three frames for handling questions, three frames for spreading success stories, and one frame for what to hand off after 90 days. The task board has five columns from candidate ideas to became routine, and starts with four parent tasks - using it yourself daily, spreading it to others, deciding how you take questions, and making it a lasting system - each with three subtasks, all not started. If you are not sure how to act as an AI champion, start by filling in just the day-30 row and testing it on one task of your own; unlike a 90-day new-hire onboarding template, this one is for someone already on staff who is now spreading AI use to others.

Save 3 cases that worked. e.g. once a day for drafts. Day 60: spread it Have 3 people try it hands-on in a demo. Showing beats explaining. Day 90: build the system Put together a guide, a help channel, and an FAQ so it runs without you. Routine Hand off to the next champion and move to other work. e.g. check back again in three months. Don't just explain, do it together once e.g. borrow one of their tasks today and try it in front of them Have them try it on their own screen, and hand over the exact prompt you used Ask to see exactly what they typed e.g. often the prompt is one line with no context Rewrite the prompt together. If it still doesn't work, note it as not a good fit Answer on the spot, based on company rules e.g. say no to anything involving a customer's personal data If unsure, say you'll check and get back to them, then add the answer to your rules once decided Ask people who used it how many minutes it saved, in numbers e.g. a quote draft went from 40 minutes to 15 Save the prompt and the result together. Keep failed examples too Get 15 minutes once a month to share e.g. one demo at the end of the morning meeting Show numbers and the real screen. It lands best coming from the person who used it Sort things by type of task into one list e.g. three groups: drafts, summaries, research Keep it somewhere anyone can see, and refresh it once a month (owner: ____) Rulese.g. never enter a customer's personal data / always have a person check AI output before using it(Decided on: __/__) Library of good examplese.g. prompts you can copy as is, three each for drafts, summaries, and research Next champione.g. hand off to whoever was most enthusiastic at the demo(Owner: ____ / Handoff date: __/__)
