Impact Mapping for Beginners: Link Goal, Actors, Impacts, and Deliverables

Planners and shop owners who can't explain why an idea is on the list use this beginner impact mapping template to link goal, actors, impact, and deliverables so only effective actions become tasks. The whiteboard has four pages - page 1 locks in one goal, page 2 maps actors and their impacts, page 3 narrows deliverables by impact and effort, and page 4 turns the kept ones into done conditions and a review date. The task board has four columns, not started, in progress, checking results, and done, with four parent tasks matching the four pages and three subtasks each, all starting in not started. Add your own deadlines. Impact mapping works by drawing one line from goal to actor to impact to deliverable and skipping any idea whose line doesn't connect, and sharing the board via a public link lets you explain your choices in one view or embed it on an internal page.
