Vision Board for Beginners: Picture Your Year Ahead in 6 Areas, Then Choose a First Step with GROW
First-time vision board makers use this beginner template to put their one-year ideal into words and decide on a first step. The left half of the whiteboard holds a mind map branching from your self one year from now into six areas - work, money, health, relationships, learning, and play - three photo frames, and a rule for the daily habit of looking at the board; the right half holds the four stages of the GROW model and an 18-cell grid crossing the six areas with ideal, now, and first step. The task board runs five columns from listing to done, starting with four parent tasks - put the ideal into words, make it measurable, choose a first step, and build the habit of looking - each with three not-started subtasks. Even if you have no idea how to make a vision board or always stop at pasting a photo, filling the six areas with words in order gets you all the way to an action plan. Photos are not placed on the board itself; you add your own once the words are set.
