KYT Hazard Prediction for Beginners: Spot Hazards in a Photo and Set a Team Goal

This KYT (hazard prediction training) template for beginners helps safety leads in manufacturing, construction, and logistics run four rounds with a team at a morning meeting. Four pages: page 1 sets today's work, a photo spot, and roles; page 2 lists hazards in four frames (people, things, places, movements) as 'because..., when..., then...' sentences; page 3 narrows the key hazard by likelihood and injury size and proposes fixes; page 4 sets the action goal and pointing-and-calling phrase to recite. The task board has five columns, from Preparing to Done, with four parent tasks for the pages and three subtasks each. At about 5 minutes per round, it takes roughly 20 minutes. The 5 Whys can trace why the top hazard arises, but it is an aid, not an official KYT step. Equipment repairs become next tasks with an owner, deadline, and check date. Members of a limited-visibility team can write together.
