1:1 Check-in for Beginners: Mind and Body Board to Pick Today's One Topic in 3 Minutes

A beginner 1:1 check-in template for managers and team members: in the first 3 minutes, mark mind and body, draw an arrow from last time, and pick one topic. Four whiteboard pages: page 1 confirms the 1:1 agreement, the last two weeks, and last actions; page 2 places today's mark on the mind × body grid and notes why it moved plus a one-line feeling; page 3 compares topic candidates by urgency and wish to talk and picks one for today; page 4 follows GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) to set actions, deadlines, and the next 1:1 date. The task board has five columns - before talking, talking, do by next time, waiting for review, done - with 4 parent tasks and 3 subtasks each. Tip: instead of asking how it is going, look at how the mark moved together and choose the topic from why. The manager never diagnoses health; if trouble continues, only mention occupational health or a counseling service. You can say 'pass' to anything. Works in a private team for two.
