Org Chart Template for Beginners: Redraw Your Team After Reassignments and Set Handover Order

After April or October reassignments, a department head, admin lead, and section managers use this beginner org chart template to redraw the structure and decide handover order. The whiteboard has 4 pages. Page 1 lists who joined, left, or changed roles and the work that changed. Page 2 builds a chart branching left and right from the center, plus a table of dual roles and deputies. Page 3 catches gaps in contacts and deputies and ranks handovers by importance and urgency. Page 4 sets each new owner's first task and what to tell the department. For a top-down chart, add the Org Chart thinking framework in the editor. The task board has four columns - to do, writing, department review, and done - with 4 parent tasks and 3 subtasks each. If unsure, list what changed first and connect the lines afterward. You can write together in a limited-visibility team and show the result at the department meeting.
