Sports Team Condition Check for Beginners: 5-Minute Pre-Practice Condition Meter

Condition check template for beginner captains and managers: place 10 to 25 players on a 5-step condition meter in the five minutes before practice. Four pages: (1) how you ask, a signal for players who find it hard to speak up, who places the tokens, and what the 5 levels mean; (2) tokens on the meter from great to hurting, with counts and warning signs; (3) who checks in with tired or hurting players and today's intensity: harder, normal, or lighter; (4) a 6-step timeline to the next match with roles and tomorrow's lead. The task board has 5 columns (To do, Checking in, Practice, Match prep, Done) and 4 parent tasks with 3 subtasks each. Tip: ask at the same time every day using the same 5 levels, and let players who find it hard to speak up use the signal. Always tell the coach when a player says they are hurting; leave injury decisions to the coach or a medical professional. Members of your private team can fill it in together.
