Training Design for Beginners: ADDIE Board for Goals, Schedule, Materials, and Impact
New trainers asked to run onboarding or tool training can learn training design with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate) in this beginner template. Four pages guide the team over 2 to 3 weeks. Page 1 covers the request, each group's pain points, and what learners should do afterward. Page 2 narrows learning goals to three and sets checks, exercises, and a 90-minute timetable. Page 3 sorts the materials you need into Must, Should, Could, and Won't. Page 4 sets owners and dates and plans a four-level impact check, from same-day reactions to on-the-job behavior and results after one month. The task board has four columns (To research, Building, Team reviewing, Delivered and checked) and holds 4 parent tasks, one per page, with 3 subtasks each. Many trainers start with materials and run out of time. Here you fix pain points and the desired outcome first, so you build only what you need. Members of a private team can write on the boards together.
